The Story of This Piece
This is the first time I actively deviated from my comfort zone when drawing Little HODLer and his little world. I was inspired by the style and colors in some of my favorite video games from the past (in my spare time, I am a gamer through and through. Ask me about video games) and sought to create a glimpse of a lightly surreal, curiously inviting yet somehow intangible depiction of Little HODLand.
My First Concept Art
I have always been fascinated by fantasy-inspired worlds of this style. A combination of colors, lights, plants, and figures we’ll never see in real life, but that speak to us in a distinct way.
I create concept art to broaden my horizons and branch out of the art style you know and associate The Little HODLer with. These pieces take considerable amounts of time, weeks to months, to create. But it is a way for me to discover new opportunities for The Little HODLer and get inspired for future stories to tell. I really hope you like this one!
